Just has that casual local band that’s grooving vibe. Fucking kicking it with your pals. The Okee Dokee Brother’s name is hokey because they are actually a kid’s band and this is a kid’s song. However, I find myself listening to them when I’m alone, because really they’re just a good folks/half bluegrass band that really focuses on simple songs that focus on melody and lyrics. They have a natural acoustic vibe at all times and you can’t deny they’re a pick-me-up kinda sound.
I just love the connection to nature and this song in particular they nail the harmonies that have unique enough voices where you can clearly distinguish each singer’s voice. Maybe one of my favorite aspects is that they cover a lot of extremely old American folk songs, like Big Rock Candy Mountain and King Kong Kitchie Kitchie Ki-Me-O, but you really can’t tell a difference between those and they’re original songs.
