Justin Joseph Hall is an award-winning, multilingual Director and Founder of Fourwind Films and Quatre-Vents.  He’s worked as a lead creative on projects acquired by HBO and that received awards at The Emmys, TriBeCa Film Festival, & Brooklyn Film Festival.

He is the son of two lower middle class teachers from the Midwest with no connection to the Entertainment Industry.  He came to New York City alone, with no connections, and $20,000 debt.  He lives and breathes cinema and unceasingly filters through film history.  Thus, Justin’s creations find space where the medium hasn’t yet explored.  From what seems like chaos he creates beauty through the overlapping and juxtapositions found in the editing room as the true way to reflect his vision of the world.

He has held positions as Editor for networks such as NBCUniversal, PBS, & History.  He helped pitch and develop the Axios (2018-2021) as Senior Editor for the Emmy-winning documentary series.  He edited Abuela’s Luck (2018) which was picked up by HBO and is now slated to be adapted into a full-length feature.   His mastery of post-production and the visual arts has awarded him opportunities to work for Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Discovery, Major League Baseball, & BMW to name a few.

As a storyteller, he guides audiences through unforgettable thought and emotional experiences.  Prologue (2020) is a superb, surreal exploration of relationships and miscommunication winning Best of Awards at Manhattan Film Festival and Worldfest Houston International Film Festival.  His docu-series on creative careers, Artist & the City (2021) won 6 awards including the Audience Award for Best Series at YoFiFest.  He’s currently editing my first feature Frames of Reference, an education adventure encountering an addict teacher, a cowgirl, outlaws, transgender studies, & kids with guns.

Justin believes in two things: diverse perspectives help solve complex problems and first rate execution of an idea is more important than the idea itself.  That’s why since he hit the ground running into his career back in 2008, he’s directed a globally talented, high-value workforce from New York to Paris to Tokyo.

Since 2014 under Justin’s direction, from Brooklyn, Fourwind Films continues to create customized high fidelity media exploring statistically underrepresented points of view.  It’s sister company, Quatre-Vents was created in 2022 to help create a greater Post-Production industry in his home state of Minnesota.  He disrupts the redundant motion picture industry presenting relevant, fresh thoughts, including his own.
